Expert Witness Services and Forensic Risk Assessment

We have a wealth of experience in providing forensic risk assessment and expert witness testimony a range of different settings. We accept referrals for; 


Local authority and care proceedings (family courts)

We undertake assessments for family courts such as risk of domestic violence, impact of substance use on family safety and assessment of specific risk of harm, such as sexual harm, to children in family contexts. If your client has previous convictions, we can help advise on how this may impact on their family situation or risk to their children. We can provide risk management solutions, and advise on ways for your client to reduce any identified risks. 


Independent prison psychology reports 

Including Parole and Category A board reports. We can provide assessment and advice in complex cases, e.g. for clients with a personality disorder, learning disability or unusual offence profiles. We have expertise in the assessment of a wide range of different offences, and are highly experienced in providing risk assessment advice in relation to suitability for release or transfer. 


Mental health review tribunals

Experienced in working in MHRTS for clients with different mental health difficulties, we provide risk assessment relating to suitability for discharge and advise on ways to support your clients to make progress and reduce risk. Our expertise covers a range of client groups including those with personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities and psychosis.


We have up to date enhanced DBS certification, HCPC and BPS registration and indemnity insurance, and at all times adhere to the relevant frameworks for specific settings, e.g. part 25 and parole board practitioner guidance.
